Cruiser Class 1a

Our racing is friendly and competitive but above all fun. Our boats consist of a wide range of modern and older classic cruising yachts. Typically we range from 25 feet to 33 feet.
We race on Tuesday evening throughout the summer. The courses are generally in the harbour and we try, as often as conditions allow, to race out through the harbour entrance into the bay.
If you have a yacht, and would like to try racing, please don’t hesitate to speak to your Class Captain. Don’t worry if you are new to racing, or need a crew, we will help to ease you into our friendly racing.
Class Contacts
1a
We are a friendly bunch with a wide skill set and keen to help newcomers; indeed happy to include boats without spinnakers to encourage new members. We often hold a social dinner at the club and a few session after the racing were we share tables and exchange ideas and advice (aka banter).
